Musicien à Bordeaux depuis 1995, Hervé Soumagne écrit et joue de la basse et de la guitare dans ses propres groupes, notamment Sub-robot et Templier.

En 2008, Hervé prend le pseudonyme de Grand Ours et commence un nouveau projet solo sous ce nom. Il donne une série de concerts de 2008 à 2010.
L'album "Supernova" sort le 29 janvier 2009.

Il signe en 2010 la production artistique d' "Elektrik shoubiland" pour Shoubi or not ? et de  "L'alpha-bestiaire illustré" pour Orel Arnold. Il collabore avec Le Pan Pan Master au sein de Groupe Local, projet one-shot (un 3-titres et un concert).
Il écrit également plusieurs bandes-son pour diverses compagnies de théâtre.

De 2012 à 2019, il joue dans le groupe Binturongs, qui sort plusieurs disques et tourne dans différents pays européens.

Entre 2019 à 2021, il coproduit et mixe l'album "Avant l'effondrement..." pour Larrieu-Plantey (ex-Supermika et Shoubi or not ?), qui sort le 7 juin 2021.

In 2010, he is the producer of  "Elektrik shoubiland" for Shoubi or not ? and "L'alpha-bestiaire illustre" for Orel Arnold. He works with Le Pan Pan Master on the one-shot project Groupe Local (one EP and one gig).
He also writes several soundtracks for theatre companies.

From 2012 to 2019, he plays in the band Binturongs, which release several records and tour in differents european countries.

Between 2019 and 2021, he coproduces and mixes the LP "Avant l'effondrement..." for Larrieu-Plantey (ex-Supermika and Shoubi or not ?), released on 7th june 2021.
